The first time I ever saw anyone work in black on black was when I saw Andy Warhol's Wicked Witch at the Art Gallery of Greater Vancouver. I loved it, black glitter against a matte black. This piece reminds me of that a little, and is warming me up for my next big dress piece, Black Sheep.
Until then, here you have it, a black trillium, on rice paper, over charcoal grey. A beauty.
