An experiment. (Sold)

One of the good things about these little babies is I can experiment a little with techniques on them.  This time the underpainting is a simple wash, rather than opaque, it came through beautifully. It will either be a hit or a miss with you all.  It is rough, and crinkly, a look of all it's own. Even I don't know where this will lead. Enjoy, see you back here tomorrow.

472 and 473 (both sold)

Oh, a fun new pair!  Exactly as it looks, these two come from one new block print cut in half. They do not match perfectly, they aren't intended to.  The background of the top is a parchment color, and the bottom is a warm golden yellow. Hang them in a group, or as a pair.  I will have other variations of these available soon, I'd rather keep these together. But if you want a similar top or bottom, let me know. $25 each =$50 for the pair.

#454 (sold)

#454 is a clean sky blue pattern once used in ancient floor tile. This piece has lots of texture, and it's composition makes it a great piece to start a group with.  Have a great Tuesday.

#471 (sold)

Good morning!  Today's (elle)ement is a sweet piece I made from an old family picture.  The girl in the basket is my Mom.   Just seeing this makes me want to do a few more like this, just for the challenge of carving the block. The spokes of the bike were particularly finicky. Enjoy your day, and I'll see you back here tomorrow!

#467 (sold)

Welcome #467!  This is an ancient repeat pattern once used in floor tile.  Printed in bone on a warm mid grey background, it can hang in any direction that works for you!  $25

#444 (sold)

#444 is such a jazzy little thing, printed in lilac over a yellow green background.  The text is prominent, and this piece looks great either this way, or on it's side so the text is readable.  It may be a simple pattern, but it's one of my favorites!

#466 (sold)

Today's (Elle)ement is a piece of a larger linoblock, you will see other fragments of this branch of leaves and berries over time. Printed in bone white on a neutral warm grey. Enjoy!

#455 (sold!)

Add a touch of the monarchy to your collection!  he crown is printed on pattern tissue, and the background color is actually a mossy green, although it just wouldn't photograph that way.  I like to pair this with a bee to make a queen bee duo. If you are viewing this on a mobile device, take some time to check it out later on a laptop, there is lots of info you are missing.

#470 (sold)

For those of you sick of all the dadgum patterns the past week, today's (elle)ement features a lino print of three lovely ladies.  The woman on the right is my Grandmother, appropriately printed on pattern paper as she was a seamstress.  I can still hear her telling me not to use her "good scissors" as I cut through pattern tissue.

#436 and plenty more! (sold)

Today's (elle)ement is a quiet little number, pale blue and white.  If you've enjoyed this week of new patterns, get ready because there are plenty more coming.  See you back here on Monday.

#437 (sold)

Nothing subtle about #437, a hot pink zinnia floating on a red orange background.  This is the perfect piece if you are looking for a few spots of punch, or if you want an all over hot and jazzy group. This piece is bright enough, you could nail it to the lumber hanging over the tailgate of your truck, not that I would recommend that.  Have a great day!

#434 (sold)

This is one of those you are likely to love, or wonder what I was thinking.  Printed on rice paper to keep the colors bright and true.  The "bumps" are a spring green, on a sky blue background.  Imagine laying on the ground under a canopy of trees in the spring, looking up at the sky. I like it.
$25, just like all the others, contact me at kallencole@aol.com to purchase.

#435 (sold)

Today's piece is a little less frilly, a sharp geometric pattern in sky blue and a warm sandy grey.  This piece would be a nice contrast in a collection full of swirly flowery patterns, or could be the beginning of a group of modern patterns.  There are more to come!  Printed on rice paper, for a clean, sharp blue.

#433 (sold)

Today's (elle)ement is pale, pale pale.  White on a golden wheatish background.  A sharp line of ink from the pattern tissue cuts through.  This is the perfect piece if you want to start a collection of soft, quiet pieces.  Or the perfect piece to give your eye a rest between a jumble of (elle)ements competing for attention.  Sometimes the eye needs a spot to rest.  This is a brand new pattern, as are all the pieces that are coming up this week, so stay tuned!

#432 (sold)

This morning's (elle)ement features a trio of flying birds.  The background is a yellowish green in real life, and the birds are a mid grey.  Obviously printed on pattern tissue, as the text gives away.
That's it for the week, but remember to come back on Monday, I'll have 5 days of all new pieces that you haven't seen before, new lino prints are drying right now!

Go! or the front half of Good, #234 (sold)

You've seen this (elle)ement, or one like it at the big group photo at the top.  It is from a larger print that has "good" printed in a sort of seal of approval.  This one is printed in cream on a soft warm green.  Printed on rice paper.

#184 (sold)

No Southern home can be complete without a little nod to the deviled egg.  The warm yellow comes from the pattern tissue itself.  Like all the others, this piece is 4" square on canvas, $25.

#299 (sold)

Today's piece is a combination of a fresh pale, barely green, overprinted with a baby blue. The actual (Elle)ement is paler than this photo overall, but you get the idea. The pattern is classic, enjoy.

#227 (sold)

#227 is a piled high lemon meringue pie, or chocolate, or whatever your favorite is!  Printed in charcoal grey on a warm yellow pattern paper.  Perfect for the kitchen, or chef in your life!

Three feminine pieces for your enjoyment today, the first is #263.  A modern damask pattern in charcoal grey on pink.  Printed on rice paper.

And the third, #262, a dynamic pattern in black and soft pink.  These three look great together, or will all play well with others.  They are all 4" square on canvas, and are $25 each.  Contact me at kallencole@aol.com to purchase.

#193 (sold)

Today's (elle)ement is this little beauty.  The background is a warm coral, with a repeating lattice in white with the slightest hint of blue.  The white fibers tell the story that this was printed on rice paper rather than dress pattern tissue.  This piece is a bit of a warm up for tomorrow, which will be a group of beautiful girly (elle)ements...stay tuned!

#375 (sold)

Good morning!  This little bird is printed on a thin rice paper and collaged onto a pale straw yellow background with the slightest hint of green, a very fresh color.  It is 4" square on canvas, just like all the (elle)ements, and is $25.  See you back here tomorrow!
